THE PLOT VIA TWITTER:
1. Imagine, if you will, it's Nov 1928 & you're going to a Broadway show & you've just arrived @ the theatre.
2. The bride-to-be (Janet) & her guests, including her tipsy chaperone, are preparing for her wedding.
3. She's ready for 'I do' BUT he's got 'cold feets' & everyone knows the cure for 'cold feets' is a dance number. Right?
4. Did we mention Janet was a former showgirl? But she just can't seem to stop showing off.
5. 'I don't wanna change keys no more! I don't wanna strip tease no more! I don't wanna say "cheese" no more!'
6. Janet's producer is not happy about her retirement & schemes to halt her wedding to Robert. But how?! Enter Aldolpho.
7. Aldolpho can't wait to show Janet his legendary lovemaking skills. Too bad he confuses the chaperone & Janet. Whoops.
8. How do you test your fiance's loyalty? By sending him roller-skating blindfolded in a garden of course.
9. It's an accident waiting to happen when Janet seduces Robert while she's disguised as a French woman, 'Mimi.'
10. Plan backfires. He kisses 'Mimi.' 'I couldn't help it, Janet! She was just like you - only French!' Wedding's off.
11. Curtain falls on Act I. Act 2: the 2nd record plays the sound of gongs & cymbals. Wait! The wrong record is played!
12. 'Monkey, monkey, monkey.' Wait, we didn't mention there are monkeys? Oh yeah, there are monkeys.
13. Oh to have the struggle between a handsome fiance and a glamorous life of a showgirl. Choices...
14. How does it end? Let's just say there are pastry chef gangsters, an aviatrix, a chorus girl, & a total of 3 weddings!
