The 101 Dalmatians Musical will be at in Nashville, TN -

The 101 Dalmatians Musical is an experience for the entire family about what it means to be a family, canine and courageous. More than a simple story about good versus bad, the family bands together to overcome every hurdle and hardship in the most difficult times.

Led by the creative team of Jerry Zaks (La Cage Auz Folles,Smokey Joe's Cafe, Everybody Loves Raymond) , B.T. McNicholl (Spamalot, Billy Elliot, Cabaret) and Dennis DeYoung (founding member of the rock group Styx, The Hunchback of Notre Dame ), The 101 Dalmatians Musical will transport audiences to a slightly topsy-turvy, exciting, and altogether fantastic reality that gives grand license for song, dance and spectacle in a one-of-a-kind show that will leave everyone cheering.

A few bios from the cast - yes, there will be LIVE puppies!

Rascal
Name: Rascal
Age: 6.5 months old
Shelter Name: Second Chance Dalmatian Rescue in Ohio
Rascal was taken into a local veterinarian in Columbus, OH with a broken leg. The vet had to put a pin in Rascal's leg. Rascal's owners were unable to cover his medical expenses and ended up leaving Rascal at the vet's office. The vet then contacted the local Humane Society, who then took him to the Second Chance Dalmatian Rescue in Ohio, who picked him up immediately and cared for him while he recovered. Even with a broken leg, Rascal was an extremely active puppy! The rescue contacted our company and asked if we would be interested in looking at him. It took about one minute for Rascal to steal Joel Slaven's heart. He was outgoing, confident, and loved to play. Even at only 4 months old he showed tremendous potential. We brought him to Florida and it wasn't long until he became everyone's baby brother. He keeps his roommates very busy with all of his energy, and keeps the trainers on their toes, too! Rascal loves to "help" the trainers with everything including tugging on the hose (usually soaking them in the process), pulling on his leash, or grabbing their shirt as they try to walk away. His leg has healed perfectly and you would never know that he was abandoned only a short time ago. He loves everyone and doesn't have any hard feelings about his first four months of life. He is just looking forward to being on stage and showing off his skills. (Let's just hope there aren't any hoses lying around!!!!)

Bella
Name: Bella
Age: 1.5 years old
Shelter Name: Wayne County Humane Society, Fairfield, Illinois
Bella was abandoned at a veterinary clinic in Indiana by her previous owner. The owner said she couldn't afford to feed her anymore. The vet contacted the Wayne County Humane Society to see if they could try to find her a new home. Unfortunately Bella had one of the worst cases of heartworms our Veterinarian has ever seen. She has gone through her initial treatment and is doing great. The vet said to keep her quiet for several weeks...we try!!! Bella is a bundle of energy and loves to be with people. You would never guess that she was ever sick a day in her life.
Name: Bert
Age: 2 Year Old
Shelter Name: Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue, Murphy, Texas
Bert was a stray that was picked up by Waco Humane Society in Texas. Jenny Brock from Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue gave him a home in hopes of finding him just the right owners. Unfortunately, like many Dalmatians, Bert has a tendency to produce crystals in his urine which can lead to blockage and be deadly if it goes untreated. Because of his condition he is on a special diet and is checked by our veterinarian on a frequent basis. Bert is in great health now.
