BJ Novak - Wild West Comedy Festival will be at Andrew Johnson Theater in Nashville, TN

B.J. Novak is an actor and writer best known for his work on the longrunning and Emmy award-winning comedy, “The Office.” In addition to starring as Ryan, Novak served as an executive producer of the series, as well as one of its most frequent writers and directors.
In motion pictures, Novak is widely known for his performances in Quentin Tarantino's “Inglourious Basterds” and Disney’s “Saving Mr. Banks,” as well as appearances in films such as “The Internship,” “Knocked Up,” and “Reign Over Me.” He will next be seen in the upcoming “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
Also acclaimed as a standup comedian, Novak has performed frequently at colleges and theaters across the country since 2002, including televised spots on Comedy Central and “Late Night with Conan O'Brien.” In 2008, his show “B.J. Novak & Friends” at Town Hall was featured as the closing night of the New York Comedy Festival, and he was the host of the Webby Awards in 2010.
Novak’s debut collection of fiction, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, was published by Knopf/Random House in February of 2014 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Michiko Kakutani of The New York Times identified Novak as “a genuine storyteller with finely tuned emotional radar.” Jen Chaney of The Washington Post designated Novak as “a gifted observer of the human condition and a very funny writer capable of winning that rare thing: unselfconscious, insuppressible laughter.” Caryn James of The Daily Beast wrote: “It’s a sign of his freshness that reviews, most with extravagant praise, have strained for comparisons.” TIME Magazine distinguished One More Thing as a book “you won’t want to miss in 2014.” The collection was an immediate New York Times Best Seller, debuting at #4 on the Hardcover Fiction list.
Novak’s first book for children, “The Book With No Pictures,” will be published by Dial/Penguin in fall of 2014.
